Introduction
SFK nuts are ball nuts designed for precision transmission scenarios. They feature a Gothic groove design and use specialized steel balls to achieve rolling transmission, enabling smooth conversion between rotational and linear motion. At the same time, axial clearance can be minimized through preload adjustment, ensuring smoother and more precise motion transfer. Made from high-quality steel and processed using specialized techniques, SFK nuts have strong overall rigidity, meeting load requirements under various operating conditions. They also offer excellent dust protection to reduce wear on internal components. The structural design aligns with standardized assembly requirements, making installation convenient and broadly compatible. They are suitable not only for precision equipment that demands high positioning accuracy and operational stability but also for reliable performance in conventional industrial transmission systems. With low friction and high durability, they provide stable support for efficient equipment operation.

Core Advantages

Internal Circulation Miniature Single Nut, Compact & Efficient
SFK is a miniature ball nut series by TBI Motion, featuring end-cap internal circulation. Balls recirculate smoothly via a reverser without external tubes, saving over 30% installation space. It suits small diameters of 8–10 mm and small leads of 1–2 mm. With a flanged mount, lightweight design, and single-nut structure, it balances cost and performance for compact precision equipment.
Preloadable & Backlash-Free, Zero Idle Stroke
SFK (single nut) and SFKR (preloaded type) allow preload adjustment (0–2% range) to eliminate axial clearance, even achieving negative clearance. After preloading, there is no idle stroke during reverse movement. Positioning repeatability is within ±0.001 mm, and micro-feed accuracy reaches 0.1 μm, ideal for high-frequency positioning and precision adjustment.
High Rigidity & Strong Deformation Resistance
The nut is made of SCM415H with medium-frequency quenching to 58–62 HRC. Balls use SUJ2 (hardness ≥60 HRC), and the raceway adopts a Gothic arch groove for uniform contact stress. Preloading greatly improves axial rigidity, enabling resistance to heavy-load deformation, suitable for interrupted cutting and heavy-duty precision machining.
High & Stable Precision for Harsh Conditions
Accuracy classes cover C5–C7: rolled type up to C7, ground type up to C5. Internal circulation reduces transmission error, preload eliminates backlash, and high rigidity prevents deformation. Together they achieve micron-level feeding. When matched with precision screws, they meet high-precision requirements in optical instruments, semiconductor equipment, and other demanding applications.

Scope of Application: Widely suitable for transmission needs in precision machine tools, industrial automation and robotics, electronic precision instruments, and the medical, aerospace, and aviation fields.

FAQ
1. Q: What is the difference between SFK nuts and SFI nuts?
A: The key difference lies in the groove design and application scenarios. SFK nuts use a Gothic-style groove, which ensures the ball and raceway fit more tightly. After preload adjustment, the clearance is smaller, and positioning accuracy is higher, making them suitable for scenarios that demand high precision, such as precision machining and inspection equipment. SFI nuts, on the other hand, have a conventional internal circulation structure, offering high transmission efficiency and better adaptability, making them more suitable for general industrial automation equipment.
2. Q: How do you adjust the preload of an SFK nut to eliminate clearance?
A: It's not complicated. You just select the accessory with the corresponding preload level according to the equipment requirements and fine-tune it with a specialized tool during installation. After adjustment, it effectively eliminates axial clearance, improves motion rigidity, and requires minimal maintenance afterward-just periodically check the fastening status.
3. Q: Can SFK nuts be used in workshops with a lot of dust?
A: Absolutely. Its sealed internal circulation structure can block most dust and metal debris, preventing contaminants from entering the raceway and wearing the balls and grooves. In extremely dusty conditions, additional dust seals can be installed to further enhance protection and extend service life.
4. Q: What should be when installing SFK nuts?
A: The focus is on ensuring the mounting surface is flat and the bolts are evenly tightened so that the nut does not experience uneven loading, which could affect transmission accuracy and service life. Additionally, it has a standardized flange design, so you just need to align it with the equipment mounting holes without any structural modifications. This makes installation on new equipment and retrofitting older devices very convenient.
